The Morgan Silver Dollar is Considered by many as the most popular collected series in United States Coinage. Designed by George Morgan and first struck in 1878, it was created from the silver mined from the Comstock Lode mine. The series continued from 1878 until 1904 and was minted for a single year again in 1921. The design of the Morgan Silver Dollar shows the head of Lady Liberty encircled by the date-of-issue, 13 stars, and 'E ' PLURIBUS ' UNUM'. The reverse shows a bald eagle with a branch and arrows.
